The Hospitality Industry is one of the largest employers across Australia and offers a range of employment opportunities in customer service, food service, barista, food preparation, kitchen operations, and bartending. It is a dynamic, innovative, and forever-changing industry that is primed for you to build a career.
Hospitality is a starting point in many people’s working lives and the possibilities are endless, there are never two days the same. You could start working as wait staff in a café and by discovering your passion for service, teamwork, and hospitality, progress through to managing a team and eventually a venue of your own.
This course offers you the basics you need to get started in employment in the café industry.
After learning the important skills needed to work safely with yourself and others, you will learn the essentials of food health and safety within a café, and develop a framework of quality customer service, transferable to any hospitality sector you choose!
Successful participants will receive a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment in SIT20322, Certificate II in Hospitality.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
All students will engage in a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) activity to evaluate potential support requirements. Students who are funded are required to complete an alternative and similar activity.
Course consists of 3 units. Assessment activities will include holistic assessment activities.
